Paula Kolar is an artist & curator based in Liverpool, UK at CBS Studios.

Her work spans sound, writing, performance, analog photography/film and drawing. She often explores contested spaces such as borders, coastal regions or places of memory, through archive research, field work, interviews and speculative writing.

 

She is a part of the sound-reliant collective LICK (alongside Kepla & Aous Hamoud), which was formed in 2023. Their collaborative work has included work for radio, live improvisational performance and public workshops platformed by Melodic Distraction, TATE Liverpool, Festival of Making & STAT HQ

 

She has an MFA from The Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford (2019) and a BA (Hons) from Lancaster University (2018).
